This page explains what Oil Tank Scan NJ LLC (“we”, “us”) does with the information you give us on oiltankscannj.com and when you call, text or email us. We are a small New Jersey company that offers oil tank sweeps, exploratory digs and ground penetrating radar scans.

If you use the quote, booking or contact forms, we receive the details you type in: your name, company, email address, phone number, the address of the property, whether we can get onto the site, the dates and times you prefer, how you plan to pay, the details of an agent if one is involved, and any photos or files you upload.

- Technical data. Like any website, our server records the address of your device (IP address), the page you asked for, the date and time, and your browser type. We use this to keep the site working and secure.
Why we use it
- to answer your question, send a quote and book a visit;
- to carry out the work, send the report and invoice you, and take payment;
- to follow up on a job we have done;
- to keep the site secure and working;
- to meet legal, tax and record-keeping duties.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information. We share it only where it is needed:
- Our service providers, such as the company that hosts this website and our email service, who handle it for us.
- A removal contractor, but only if you ask us for a referral. We share the details they need to contact you and quote the job.
- Authorities, if the law requires us to.
Cookies and other sites
We do not run advertising trackers on this site. Some pages show Google reviews through a widget supplied by Trustindex, and the site loads its fonts from Google. These services can receive your IP address and may set their own cookies when the page loads. If we later add website analytics or advertising tools, we will say so here first.
How long we keep it
We keep job records, reports and invoices for as long as we need them to serve you, answer follow-up questions and meet our legal and tax duties. Enquiries that do not become a job are not kept longer than we need to reply to them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as described below.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can tell us to stop contacting you by email or text.
